Town Brings in Keno two decades after approving the game
Back in April 1989 the city council of Fullerton decided to approve the game of keno. However after the approval the town never began any keno operations. Now almost 21 years later the town will be allowing the first keno operation. The council voted to bring in the keno operation and they have entered into a two year agreement with Timber Creek Palace, which is the only keno operator in the city limits. The issue of the game of keno was brought to the council last month by the owners of Timber Creek Palace Chuck and Patty Noble.
Patty Noble commented: “We have had interest and several requests for it (keno), and we thought it was something that would be beneficial to the city.” The city has now created a two year agreement with Timber Creek since the Nobles did the leg work needed to prepare for the game.
The town is not sure how much revenue they will generate from the game but they are definitely glad to be bringing in a new revenue source. Officials stated they will know more about projected revenues once the game is established in the town.
