A Sydney man recently visited his local Ramsgate RSL Club to play keno while his wife was away on a short holiday. Luck must have been with him because he won $243,000 after playing just three games of keno.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that he took advantage of being “unsupervised” while his wife was away. The man had used all his cash before he remembered he had purchased the keno tickets. The man said he gave the tickets to a cashier to see if he had won and the lady said the tickets looked good and she went to see her supervisor.

The man thought he might have won $600. When the supervisor came over he told the man that the first ticket was worth $100. The second ticket was worth $10,000 and then the supervisor said wait there’s more.

The last ticket was worth $233,000. The man was very excited about his win and he stated that he plans on telling his wife about the win when she gets back from her holiday. The man commented: “I thought I’d buy a bottle of bubbly and maybe some flowers and break it to her. I’m not terribly romantic, so she’ll be suspicious. But it’s a pleasant duty.
