P.E.I. Keno Could Be affected by Nova Scotia’s Decision
We recently brought you the news that Nova Scotia was ending the game of keno. This decision greatly affects the area but will most likely also affect Prince Edward Island as well. The Island’s treasurer believes that since Nova Scotia is ending the game it will be hard for the game to survive on Prince Edward Island.

Wes Sheridan the Prince Edward Island Provincial Treasurer sent an email to the CBC News this past Tuesday morning which stated that Nova Scotia’s decision will have an impact on if the game will continue on the island or not.

Sheridan stated that without the ‘critical mass provided by Nova Scotia, the game will be difficult to continue’. Keno has been under fire on the Island as it has produced lower than expected revenues. The Island has lost about $60,000 in launching the game.

Prince Edward Island will be giving the game a little more time before they decide to throw in the towel. Sheridan will be making a decision in the next ten days on what to do in the matter. He commented that even the Lotto 6/49 game lost money in the beginning so it is to be expected.
