Ohis is Seeing What Bars Will Debut Keno
The Ohio Lottery is sending out teams to check out dozens of local bars to see which ones will be allowed to carry Keno. Over the next few weeks two dozen bars will be getting video screens to display the numbers that are drawn for each Keno game. Governor Strickland thinks that the game is going to be very popular and that the state could bring in more then $70 million dollars.

But over in Norwood Pat Carroll disagrees, saying "People are not going to come off the street to play Keno. They don't do it in Las Vegas." Carroll is with the Buckeye Liquor Permit Association and he says that the current no smoking ban in Ohio is killing his business and that Keno is an unneeded expense.

"The initial expense, bonded, the equipment, plus to do that, I'd be in the business of selling beer booze and food," said Carroll.

Senator Bill Seitz represent's Cincinnati's West side and while he isn't exactly excited about bringing Keno in he does believe that this will be the first step in bringing casino gambling to Ohio. "Too many people are taking their business to the Argosy," said Bill Seitz, Ohio State Senator. "This will give our bars some ability to stay in business."
