Stablehurst is a town in Nebraska that wants to have the game of keno available to their residents. In a recent election the residents were able to vote for or against adding keno to the town. With a vote of 82-20, keno will now be present in Stablehurst.

The addition of keno will be subject to a lottery as permitted under Nebraska state law. The small village will be able to play keno at DJ’s Bar and Grill. The owners are hoping that the addition of keno will help raise money to help the small town.

Donna Otte, one owner, stated: "Our only hope is that it will go to help the betterment of the town. The money will stay in the village and when it comes down to it who doesn't like lower taxes."

The revenue earned from keno will not go to a specific area of the village. The board will use their discretion to use the earnings wherever it is needed. By the end of this year the Bar and Grill should have the keno machines ready for service.

The paper work is being completed and as soon as it is finished the Bar can begin adding machines and readying the restaurant for business.
