Massachusetts Keno Players Can Now Check Tickets Online
The Massachusetts State Lottery is turning to the internet to help boost their sales. They are launching the new "Keno To Go" game online. The Lottery estimates that it can boost their monies $20 million, the amount of money that they pay out to cities and towns statewide with their new version of Keno. With this new version players can go online to check the results of their Keno game to know if they have won or not instead of having to go to a Keno terminal to check their ticket. The Lottery is also planning to expand their network of Keno ticket agents to include thousands of new vendors who will be see tickets but won't have Keno machines.
This change comes after a major report on the future of the lottery was published a few years ago that recommended a number of new growth strategies, including developing online games. They aren't completely online yet though, players will still have to buy their Keno tickets at a convenience store or at another vendor.
