Keno Winner Donates to Charity
A Michigan man recently won $10,000 after playing the Michigan Lottery Club Keno game. Jim Dancy won the money back in March and recently decided he wanted to give his winnings to charity. The man who is from the Kalamazoo area donated his winnings to the Greater Kalamazoo United Way.Working at Innovative Analytics, a biological research company in Kalamazoo, Dancy is the vice president, CEO and co-founder. He says he feels good about his decision to donate the money and felt that the United Way was the best decision.
The Michigan Lottery released a statement from Dancy which commented on his donation, he stated: "I was heavily influenced by my close friend Julie, who taught me to think of others first, and to stop and think about what life is really about. I know the needs in the community are great right now, so for me it was the right thing to do."
The United Way of Kalamazoo was very glad to receive the donation and the president of the United Way commented that the donation could not have come at a better time.
