Keno Ticket Sales High Despite Bad Economy
With the current state of the economy it seems that every type of business is slowing down. Most businesses are having to lay people off, cut hours or close completely. Ironically one business that is doing very well despite the bad economy is lotteries. In the state of Ohio the game of keno is doing very well. It seems that even though people are short on cash if they can play the lottery and maybe win it is worth the risk during these rough times. One restaurant in Centerville, Ohio has seen their keno sales double since they brought the game to the restaurant. Frickers restaurant’s managers say that the game has continued to flourish and they do not see the popularity of the game slowing down.
Gas stations in the area are also seeing high sales of tickets. Though nearby casinos have seen a decrease in profits of fifteen percent from just a year ago. It seems people are playing keno and buying lottery tickets because it can be a one time transaction and they may win a good deal of money. With the casino you go in and may gamble for hours and lose a good deal without any gain. For those who want to take the risk it seems for now with the slow economy that keno and the lottery are the way to go.
