Keno Revenues Drop in Omaha, Nebraska
The game of Keno has seen a major drop in revenue in Omaha, Nebraska. The economy is only part of the problem and community betterment programs are suffering from the drop in revenue. However, nearby cities are not seeing a drop and officials want to find out what the problem is.

The game of Keno saw a drop of 14.9 percent while suburbs in the same area of Omaha have shown steady numbers. Customers are playing Keno in La Vista, Papillion and Bellevue and revenues are even increasing in some areas.

Carol Ebdon the City Finance Director commented that the downturn has taken place due to the smoking ban that was passed. Ebdon believes the economy and the smoking ban are the reason the city has seen the almost 15 percent drop in revenue.

Ebdon said it is hard to determine how much of the drop is due to the smoking ban and the economy. Ebdon said the city will be keeping an eye on the situation.
