Keno Could be Back in Small Nebraska Town
Tuesday is the deadline for Stanton, Nebraska voters to decide to bring Keno to their town. They will have until then to decide and turn in their ballots for the special held election.

The town of approximately 1600 people hasn’t seen Keno in over 20 years. Back then the gamer didn’t have the popularity it does now and was taken out of play.

A local business took an interest a few months ago in bringing the game back. City officials took some time to research what it would mean to the community to have Keno back.

According to Colleen Paden, Stanton Mayor they found that, "It's not going to cost the city anything. In fact, we should gain 8% of the revenue. We send two percent back to the State, so we will net 6% and we can use that money for improvements to the community."

"Generally as a small town you don't have the tax base that you have in larger areas and we've got some improvements we can do and could use the extra money," added the Mayor.

All registered voters where then sent a special ballot in the mail. They now have until Tuesday at 5 pm to get their vote to the County Clerk’s office. The results should be tallied by the next day.
