Many states in the United States offer their residents a lottery. Within the lottery are several types of games one of which is keno. Some states offer the game of keno while others do not. The opinion on the game of keno is mixed and one state has decided it is not the game for them.

The Governor of Connecticut has announced that the game of keno will not be added to the state. According to several news reports, officials had been looking into adding the game of keno to Connecticut.

The addition of Keno to the state lottery was estimated to bring in an additional $40 million in annual revenues. However the governor may have looked at other states such as Ohio, who added the game and have not seen the revenue that estimates reported.

Whatever the case may be, a spokesman for the governor’s office commented: “The revenue wasn’t needed, so the proposal was dropped.” So the residents of Connecticut will not be seeing the game of keno in bars and restaurants anytime soon.
