Electronic keno games on Prince Edward Island have experienced lower sales and because of this the Atlantic Lottery Corporation is planning a new campaign to market the game. The hope is that with a new marketing campaign, sales will increase for the game of keno on the Island.

Keno was introduced on the island in March at twenty eight different locations. A spokeswoman for the lottery stated that the game has only earned $858,000 in revenue over the past few months and that amount is lowered than expected. How much lower was not released.

CBS news went to the island and visiting businesses who offer the game of keno. At one bar a bartender stated that he may work eight hour days and on one will play while he is there. Many say the game is not flashy enough like slot games or other Vegas style games.

It will be interesting to see if a new marketing campaign will help increase game play of the electronic keno or if the revenues will stay the same.
