Health District Wants Officials to Shut Down Electronic Keno in Nova ScotiaBack in March, the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation launched electronic keno games in almost two hundred restaurants and bars. There was mixed feelings about the addition of keno though the company was able to start the machines in several locations. Now the board of the health district is asking the government to turn off the electronic keno machines. (29/04)
Keno Winner Donates to Charity
A Michigan man recently won $10,000 after playing the Michigan Lottery Club Keno game. Jim Dancy won the money back in March and recently decided he wanted to give his winnings to charity. The man who is from the Kalamazoo area donated his winnings to the Greater Kalamazoo United Way. (20/04)
Sydney Man Wins Large Keno Prize
A Sydney man recently visited his local Ramsgate RSL Club to play keno while his wife was away on a short holiday. Luck must have been with him because he won $243,000 after playing just three games of keno. (15/04)

As the economy is still in shambles, many states in the US are trying to find new ways to bring in revenue. One way that has become increasingly popular is gambling. From adding casinos to lottery games, many states are getting in on the action. The state of Connecticut is considering adding Keno to help close a huge deficit in the state. (13/04)
Ohio Woman Charged with Running Illegal Keno Machines and Other Gambling Devices
An Ohio woman was sentenced just a few weeks ago for running an illegal gambling operation. Erika Kleinfield, a former preschool teacher, was sentenced to one hundred and eighty days in jail after she was convicted of four gambling violations. (10/04)
