Keno Tournament This Weekend at John Ascuaga’s Nugget Casino

John Ascuaga’s Nugget Casino in Sparks, Nevada will be holding a $17,000 Keno Tournament this weekend. The tournament is set to begin on October 25th and players can register by calling the casino and paying a $400 entry fee. (23/10)

Two Charged in Nebraska Keno Case

Almost one year ago, three people from Blue Springs, Nebraska, were charged with tampering with keno machines for their own benefit. Jana Fletcher was charged with a Class III felony while Roberts Roberts and Jamie Phipps were charged with manipulating one of the "blower" machines that are used to call numbers for Keno. (13/10)

Tavern owners in Iowa are upset as a statewide smoking ban has been set into place. The bans were placed in July and since then bar owners have seen a loss in revenue. To satisfy bar owners, Iowa Representative Brian Quirk has suggested that the state allow video keno machines to be placed in the bars. Quirk believes this will be a way for bar owners to recoup the revenue lost since the ban was enforced. (06/10)
