$100,000 Keno Winner Used Multiplier Option
The Georgia Lottery recently implemented a new multiplier feature on their Keno game and on that same day they had a lucky winner. Obinna Ekeleme won $100,000 dollars after he matched seven numbers in a single play. The reason he won so much is he chose to play the multiplier option which turned his winning ticket of $20,000 dollars to $100,000 dollars. The multiplier number is drawn before each Keno drawing and this time the number was five. The maximum multiplier that can be drawn is 10 on a $100,000 dollar ticket. So this means players could win up to $1 million dollars if they choose the multiplier option on their ticket.
In two sperate Keno games on Sunday Ekeleme also won an additional $3,000 dollars and then $6,000 dollars to bring his winnings up to $109,000 dollars. He said that he randomly selected his numbers, "It's a game of chance," he told Georgia Lottery officials. "This was pure luck."
